Classless Ambition

Classless Ambition
An Orphan’s Frustration
William Oh begins as a classless boy at Saint Gertrude’s Orphanage, convinced that ordinary work would condemn him to a life beneath his parents’ legend.
A Dangerous Dream
Gertrude urges patience, but Will imagines acquiring the Uru Drake and becoming a Lord. His ambition is immature, yet it gives direction to his anger and longing.
The First Threshold
The Hunt offers Will his first chance to convert fantasy into capability. His hunger for independence is therefore established before he understands the price of power.
Improvised Ascension

Improvised Ascension
A Sealed Room
Ben’s betrayal leaves William Oh trapped inside the Class Creation Room without the required Sacrifices. Survival becomes more urgent than choosing an ideal Class.
The Cost of Escape
He converts pemmican, leather, clothing, and finally his own hand into desperate offerings at the Class Trial Altars. The resulting Class is born from deprivation rather than preparation.
A New Identity
The Resourceful Climber emerges as a direct expression of Will’s damaged circumstances. His missing hand becomes both a limitation and the source of the Phantom Hand that defines his future.
Trial Canyon Survival

Trial Canyon Survival
An Impossible Route
William Oh enters The Trial Canyon dehydrated, wounded, and nearly naked. The portal is guarded by Maksu, but the instructions require escape rather than honorable combat.
Terrain as Weapon
Aspect of the Goat turns cliffs, footholds, and hostile ground into advantages. Will learns that his Class rewards patience, observation, and exploiting physical surroundings.
A Self-Made Climber
By hunting isolated Maksu and rescuing a caravan through an improvised counter-ambush, Will proves that ingenuity can substitute for equipment and conventional combat training.
The First Floors

The First Floors
Establishing a Method
William Oh and Loth rely on scouting, traps, improvised weapons, and carefully chosen retreats rather than direct confrontation. Their method produces victories against enemies that should overwhelm them.
Vertical Progress
They clear the camel Key Site and reach the Second Floor, learning that advancement depends not only on strength but also on acclimation, logistics, and safe routes.
Escalating Stakes
The First Floor’s small hunts give way to kaith territory, floating mountains, and hostile Climbers. Each ascent expands both Will’s capabilities and the consequences of failure.
The Oilton Crisis

The Oilton Crisis
A Dead Stronghold
William Oh discovers Oilton deserted and filled with corpses. The city’s silence conceals a larger political crime involving Tangled and a stolen Relic.
Coalition and Conspiracy
Will, Loth, Carrie, Travis Oilton, and Brianna work with Kobold and Jibleya survivors to understand the infestation. Their temporary coalition turns looting into resistance.
A Violent Claim
The destruction of Oilton prevents an incoming Wyrd army from inheriting an intact prize, but it also exposes Will to retaliation. His ascent now intersects directly with Lordly power.
